May 13th 2015-
For Immediate Release:
DRIVERS, CREWS, and FANS,
It has been brought to Chris Cullen and Charlie Wilson’s attention that the promoter at PMG Race Series and Race Event Sanctioning has editorialized an “issue” regarding I-25 Speedway, the owner Chris and the GM Charlie. The “issue” at hand is in regards to a scheduling conflict between I-25 Speedway and the PMG Race Series Grand American Modified event being held at Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 13, 2015.
Several areas of this Facebook post by PMG should be noted. I-25 Speedway released the original schedule on January 24, 2015 at the Colorado Oval Track and High Performance Trade Show and Swap Meet. The original schedule that was released has always had the Grand American Modifieds listed as running the night of June 13. That has never changed. The only change was correcting the mistake of not including the “Twin 30’s” on the original schedule. Whether it was an oversight on PMG’s behalf or the folks at Big Country Speedway, the GAM’s have always been on our schedule for June 13, 2015.
With that said, it should be pointed out that the gentlemen who posted the Facebook rant, if you will, stated, “It amazes me that some promoters don't realize there is a bigger picture that will only develop when promoters work together with each other and with special event promoters to improve their race program.” While that is a very accurate statement, it should be known that this gentleman got in contact with Charlie and relayed that Albuquerque was adding a PMG race to their schedule after he had already been told “no” by Charlie Fegan, owner of Sandia Motor Speedway. It didn’t stop there though. He also did the same thing to Charlie Fegan, telling him I-25 Speedway was on board to host a PMG race. Track promoters are more connected than this gentleman seems to believe.
To directly address and better understand the “mentality” of I-25 Speedway, please know we are not out to hurt the racer in any way, shape, or form. Both Chris and Charlie have had conversations with PMG. They were brief conversations simply because PMG refuses to answer the questions that were asked by Chris and Charlie. Charlie has repeatedly asked how having a PMG race at I-25 Speedway will benefit the drivers of I-25 Speedway and the drivers who would travel to I-25 Speedway. Charlie has repeatedly asked what the fee is to have PMG host a race at I-25 Speedway. Charlie has also repeatedly asked what the purse is, who seeks the sponsors to supply the purse, and when do the racers collect their purse. After many attempts at gaining some sort of information from PMG have failed, Charlie and Chris collectively agreed that I-25 Speedway would not do business with PMG. It is the belief of Chris and Charlie both that if PMG is unwilling and unable to provide simple answers to the questions they are asked, and benefit the racer without padding their pockets, I-25 Speedway is not willing to be associated with PMG or attempt a relationship with PMG. It should also be known that the promoter of PMG has yet to make verbal contact with Chris or Charlie since initially discussing the idea of hosting a race at I-25 Speedway. The PMG promoter is only willing to communicate via text messaging.
As of the writing of this release, the gentleman who willingly blasted I-25 Speedway on Facebook has yet to give Chris or Charlie any answers in regards to how this series may benefit the drivers. Our ultimate goal is make sure the drivers, crews, families, and fans are provided with a positive and enriching experience and we refuse to be affiliated with anyone that cannot provide answers in favor of our drivers. The owner, General Manager, Officials and staff at I-25 Speedway have made it our goal to support our racers and the people who support local weekly race tracks.
This is not an attempt to cause unnecessary distress to Big Country Speedway in any way. We support Big Country and their efforts to host our Southern Colorado drivers and crews and their Wyoming drivers and crews. It is truly a shame that the promoter of PMG has garnered unnecessary tension between two local tracks with ultimately the same goals, in an effort to be perceived as the victim in a situation that he brought upon himself. If Kevin Bell would like to make contact with Chris Cullen or Charlie Wilson, please contact them at: Chris’ cell 719.240.0714 or Charlie’s cell 719.429.5959.
We would like to wish the best of luck to Big Country Speedway and PMG.

Colorado’s I-25 Speedway Latest Addition
Whelen All-American Series Racing Comes To Pueblo
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR’s presence in Colorado has doubled with the addition of I-25 Speedway to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly racing program for the 2015 season.
“We’re pleased to welcome I-25 Speedway as the newest member the NASCAR family,” said George Silbermann, NASCAR’s vice president for regional and touring series. “The thrilling competition each and every week that I-25 delivers to fans in Pueblo will be a great addition to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program.”
I-25 is a quarter-mile asphalt oval located on the north side of Pueblo. The track, which originally opened in 1963, is two hours due south of Colorado National Speedway, a longstanding Whelen All-American Series facility in Dacono.
Established in 1982, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is NASCAR’s national championship program for weekly short track auto racing. Competitors at nearly 60 paved and dirt tracks throughout North America vie for track, state and province, and overall series championships in Divisions I-V.
"This is a great opportunity for our drivers, the fans and staff here at I-25 Speedway,” said Chris Cullen, owner of the facility. “I am very proud to be a part of it.”
I-25’s first night of NASCAR-sanctioned competition will be Saturday, May 16. Super late models will be designated NASCAR Division I at I-25 while the Grand American modifieds will be Division II, sportsmen Division III, street stocks Division IV and mini stocks Division V.
Dan Alamaa is the reigning track titlist out of the super late model division.
Connecticut-based Whelen Engineering is the series’ title sponsor. Whelen Engineering is a leading manufacturer of automotive, aviation, industrial and emergency vehicle lighting. NASCAR tracks and pace cars across North America and Europe are among the many showcases for Whelen products.

There will be a service for Ilise White next Friday, February 13th (she would get a kick out of the date) at South Suburban Christian Church in Littleton, 7275 S. Broadway, at 1pm... We will have a reception there after for those of you that would like to stay, and ask that anyone that is able to please bring a tiny dish or snack as it would help our family tremendously to not have to figure out catering for the reception. Please bring any pictures you have with her, as we want to have a collection of pictures to look at during the reception. She always told all of us that when she goes, she wants us to be happy that she lived such a great life, she wants us to celebrate her life, not mourn her loss, and remember those good times with a party. Please come with good memories of her so we can fulfill her wishes.via the white famliy

I-25 Speedway representatives will be at the 27th Annual Colorado Oval Track and High Performance Trade Show and Swap Meet!!
You can register for the 2015 racing season (which will save you $50 if you register before April 1st), you can pick up our new 2015 racing schedule, and ask any of the representatives any and all questions you may have about the upcoming racing season.
The trade show is being held at the Boulder County Fair Grounds in Longmont, Colorado, inside the main exhibit building.
We hope to see you there!
The rules package put forth at the beginning of the 2014 season is valid for three years, 2014-2016. This was done at the majority of the racers requests to have a rule package that doesn’t vary, so that you don’t have to alter your cars and spend valued resources to be legal.
In addition, track management has listened to the majority of racers who desire more clarification of the current rules. So, that’s what we are doing by giving the racers the “more clarification” that they have asked for.
The most notable things you are going to see in the clarified 2015 Rules are:
-Structure and uniformity to the written rules from class to class, which makes the rule book easier to follow for racers and officials.
-Deletion of redundant rules.
-Deletion and clarification of contradicting rules.
-Rules that may encourage non-local racers to race with us and further our car-count going forward.
Therefore, build your cars or repair your cars based on the current 3-year rules that you requested. If the rules say you were allowed to do XYZ in 2014 but NOT in 2015, that still applies to the written rules.
As you can see, we are listening to you, the racers, in balancing your requests. We look forward to a great 2015 racing season.

Sept 9, 2014 -Two champions decided by Mike Bible
Mike Simpson was able to seal the deal to take home the 2014 Mini Stock Championship! It was a close points battle between Simpson, Trampus Deutsch who finished 2nd in the standings and Mark Delaney who placed 3rd in points. All of these drivers faced more than a little adversity during the season. Remember that back in early July a rare crash in qualifying took out both Simpson and Delaney. Trampus Deutsch sadly was forced to miss some racing after the unfortunate passing of his Mother in late June. Congratulations to all of these drivers and their supporters for their tenacity and dedication.
Stacee Payne is officially the 2014 Hornet Champion. Stacee flat dominated the competition in the early part of the season with four main event wins. Along with that and her steady strong finishes, Payne brought the title home in her rookie year! Pat O’Lear finished second in standings. Also a rookie, Pat trailed Payne in points but impressively racked up six quick times and four trophy dash wins this season. Keegan Willy finished in 3rd for the year, only ten points behind O’Lear.
Results / Standings are now posted.
