The competitors of I-25 Speedway met for an evening of fun and camaraderie showing again why short track racing in southern Colorado is alive and very well. 9-15-2011 Farewell 52 Pueblo, CO - For several decades there has been a #52 competing in Late Model events locally and regionally. For just as long, you could bet that the man in the helmet of that #52 car was Bob Turano.  This weekend’s race 9/17/2011 will mark the end of a long racing career for Turano as he plans on hanging up his driving gloves.  Bob has competed door to door with some of the nation’s best racecar drivers and at some of the most challenging tracks around.  Throughout his career, Turano has garnered respect from fans and fellow competitors alike.  Bob Turano calls I-25 Speedway his home track… he will surely be missed.  Congratulations to Bob, his family and crew from all of us at I-25 Speedway. mb
